Telstra launches the Motorola XOOM 2 tablet in Australia 2012

The new Motorola XOOM 2 features Android™ 3.2, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, a brilliant display with scratch resistant Corning® Gorilla® Glass, and a splashguard coating for a go anywhere, do everything attitude. The tablet also includes the new MotoCast™ app that lets owners stream their music, photos, videos and documents from their computer to their tablet without any media tools, apps, or cords. For business customers, it means that they have easy access to files and documents on their office PC, whenever they need.
Lighter and brighter
Motorola XOOM 2 sports a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display and Android™ 3.2 Honeycomb like its predecessor, but improves on it. The display is brighter and more vibrant than before with colour enhancement, and the edges have been strategically designed to make the tablet more comfortable to hold – this tablet is easy on the eyes, and easy on the hands. Motorola XOOM 2 is also loaded with business ready features like VPN support and data encryption.
Motorola XOOM 2 also features MOTOPRINT integrated into key apps so customers can print wirelessly from their tablet. It is more than 100 grams lighter than the original Motorola XOOM to make it even easier to take on the road, and can withstand poolside use, spilled drinks or dashes out to the car in the rain thanks to its new splash-guard coating. A battery delivering up to 10 hours of video playback means it can go with owners wherever they need to be.

Pricing and availability
Motorola XOOM 2 is available from Telstra stores and partners from Tuesday 21 February. It can be purchased outright for $720 RRP or teamed with a plan that includes a generous monthly data allowance and which allows eligible customers to pay the device off over 24 months.
